Description

Experience the latest IMAX film at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. We invite local educators to enjoy a complimentary screening of A Beautiful Planet, now playing in IMAX 3D at the Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater. Join us to learn how you can make the most of your field trip to the museum with group rates and resources from the education department.

A Beautiful Planet is a breathtaking portrait of Earth from space, providing a unique perspective and increased understanding of our planet and galaxy as never seen before. Made in cooperation with NASA, the film features stunning footage of our magnificent blue planet — and the effects humanity has had on it over time — captured by the astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Narrated by Jennifer Lawrence.

Check-in will take place at the theater box office between 5:45 pm and 6:00 pm. We will begin introducing the film at 6:00pm. The screening will conclude by 7:00 pm. We will be showing our upcoming film, Voyage of Time during a press screening at 7:00 pm for anyone who would like to stay and see that film as well.

**Please make sure to enter the museum through the Independence Avenue entrance.
