    Author:
Publicio, Giacomo, active 15th century, author.
    Title:
    Publisher:
    [Venice] : [Erhard Ratdolt], [31 January 1485]
    Description:
    [132] pages : illustrations (woodcuts), diagrams ; 21 cm (4to)
    Notes:
Title from incipit, leaf A2r (signed 'A')
Imprint as given in Goff and ISTC. Colophon, leaf H10v, reads: Erhardus Ratdolt auguste[n]sis ingenio miro & arte [per]polita impressioni mirifice dedit.1485. pridie calen[das] februarii. Venetiis
    Second edition
33 lines. Numerous large and small woodcut capitals. Woodcut illustrations include alphabet letters, a chessboard, and the tree of rhetoric
    Signatures: A-G8 H10 [$4 (+H5) signed; signing A2 as 'A']; 66 leaves, unnumbered (first leaf blank)
"The text appears to have been revised throughout this edition. The ars memoriae is divided into two books instead of three, with considerable changes in the text. To the cuts of the first edition (1482) have been added a cut of a city from the Fasciculus temporum to illustrate the section 'Locorum qualitas' (G5b), a cut of the Ptolemaic system at the end of the first book (G7a), a cut of a female and male figure to illustrate the section beginnning 'Cum prima huius libelli pars' (H1b), where there is a blank space in the earlier edition, and a 'tree' of qualities, &c. in two parts (H9b, H10a). The last figure (a city) of the last block of the alphabet-cuts has been removed."--BMC
As in the 1482 edition, what has been described as a "volvelle" does not have a separate moving part, and is not printed with a blank verso. It appears to require use of a straight-edge or perhaps a string, though the latter would slightly damage the text on the verso
