    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a World War I soldier dressed in uniform. His hands are folded in front of him; his helmet hangs from his proper right hand. He holds the top of a rifle in his hands; the butt of the gun rests on the ground. His head is bowed and his gaze is directed to a cross on the ground. The sculpture stands on a granite boulder. A bronze plaque with a relief of an eagle is attached to the face of the boulder. The eagle's wings are widespread.
